In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Exceptional staff service — Guests consistently highlight the friendliness and helpfulness of the reception team, with many noting early check-in flexibility and great local tips.
  • Excellent location near Park Güell — A short walk from Park Güell and within easy reach of Sagrada Familia, with metro and bus links nearby for wider city exploration.
  • Thoughtful dorm amenities — Privacy curtains, personal charging ports, reading lights, lockers, and blackout curtains make shared rooms more comfortable and private.
  • Free breakfast with homemade touches — Included breakfast features croissants, stuffed bagels, yogurt, and homemade cakes – a detail guests repeatedly call out.

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Located a bit off the metro — Some guests found the nearest metro station a slightly longer walk than expected, so allow time for the short trip to the station.
  • Small property with shared dorms — With only 22 rooms and mostly dormitory-style accommodation, privacy is limited and the social atmosphere may not suit everyone.
  • No pets and no on-site parking — The hostel prohibits pets, and there’s no mention of parking – guests arriving by car will need to plan alternative arrangements.

“Perfect location, just a 3-minute walk to Park Güell, and easy to get around by train or bus – we even walked to La Sagrada Familia. The room was nice with our own bathroom, and the common areas and kitchen were well equipped. Breakfast was delicious with croissants or stuffed bagels, yogurt, and hot or cold drinks. Laundry was good value, and all the receptionists were friendly and helpful. The room had a balcony and was well ventilated, and having a lamp and plug on the bunk bed was very useful. We especially loved the homemade cakes. A cozy and enjoyable experience – everything was fantastic.”

“Great value for money. Free breakfast with a variety of options, well-stocked bathroom amenities, and a comfy tropical shower. Thoughtful touches at reception like free earplugs and sweets. Good chill room and patio, blackout curtains on beds, and comfortable bunks with privacy curtains. AC was fixed quickly when it broke. Lots of common space, convenient location near the city centre and Park Güell, and a sharing kitchen with all facilities. Inner courtyard with hammocks for evening relaxation.”
